A MESSAGE FROM THE 2009 CHAIRMEN
Arizona &and Maricopa County
Combined Federal Campaigns
Dear Federal, Military and Postal Employees:
Last year, Federal employees in the Arizona and Maricopa County CFC's carried on their tradition of generosity.
You contributed over $3.73 million, supporting more than 2400 charities that respond to urgent needs in our community,
our nation and the world.
You worked to cure disease. You sheltered women and children from abuse. You fed the hungry. You clothed the homeless.
You rescued animals. You protected the environment. You restored the lives of natural disaster victims at home and around
the world. You supported military and federal employee families' right here at home. On behalf of every man, woman and
child who benefited from your generosity, please accept our heartfelt thanks.
But, despite our best efforts, there are still those among us who face overwhelming circumstances: life-threatening illness, poverty,
despair. The 2009 CFC gives each of us an opportunity to really make a difference in whatever way we choose. And we can have
confidence in our choices. Every charity in this listing was evaluated and approved for participation by Federal employees.
The theme of this year's campaign is "iCan …Now, More Than Ever". What charitable agency touches your heart? I'm sure there will be
some CFC approved charities that will call out to you in a special way. The decision on whether or how much to give is entirely up to you.
I encourage you to reflect upon your many blessings and let your heart be your guide.
We are honored to serve you as Chairman for the 2009 Arizona and Maricopa County Combined Federal Campaigns. To those of who have volunteered
your time and contributed financially during previous campaigns, thank you. I hope that you will continue to support your favorite charities
through the CFC. To those who may contribute for the first time, I congratulate you on joining this worthwhile endeavor. Together we can show
our community, our nation, and our world the Miracles that are ….in every one of us!
