TO: Potential CFC Participants
(Local Independent Organizations and Federations)
The Local Federal Coordinating Committee (LFCC) of the Maricopa County Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) is announcing its
acceptance period for Local Independent Organizations and Federation Applications for the 2010 Maricopa County CFC campaign.
Applications will be accepted between February 1, 2010 through March 12, 2010. All independent organizations and federation applications
must be postmarked no later than Mar 12, 2010.
Note:
The Arizona CFC and the Maricopa County CFC have agreed to continue a joint local application approval process for the 2010 CFC.
Local independent organizations and local federations located in Arizona that apply to and are accepted by either the Arizona CFC (0051)
or the Maricopa County CFC (0052) and meet the application requirements of the other CFC will be approved by both LFCCs and will be listed
once in the local organization section of the 2010 Arizona CFC Charity List and once in the local organization section of the 2010
Maricopa County CFC Charity List. Charitable agencies located in Arizona should only apply to one CFC.
Agencies located in Maricopa County should apply to the Maricopa County CFC.
Agencies located in any county of Arizona except Maricopa County should apply to the Arizona CFC.
During previous application cycles, errors and inaccurate completions have resulted in several agencies being denied
participation in CFC. The LFCC will conduct application process training session for eligible charities. These
training sessions will be conducted by the Maricopa County CFC Director on February 3rd and 4th, 2010. the training
will be held at the Valley of the Sun United Way, Annex Building, 2nd Floor Conference Room, 1515 E. Osborn Rd, Phoenix, AZ, 85014.
Reservations for the training sessions will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Please email Abel Perales (aperales at vsuw.org), to reserve a seat at one of the following sessions
Feb 3rd & 4th 2010:
1st session - 9:30a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
2nd session - 1:00pm p.m. to 2:30 pm.
This training session will be particularly helpful to new applicants, and would be a good refresher course for previous participants.
Those charities that attended the training in 2009 found the application process to be much easier as a result of the information gained at the
training session.
The Office of Personnel Management/Office of CFC Operations has established requirements for submitting the 2010 application.
Please note that all Federal regulations and guidelines will be adhered to in screening applications, and inaccurate or incomplete applications
may not be approved or allowed to submit an appeal for correction.
